Our objective is to foster talented individuals with outstanding capabilities and instruction skills that meet the demands in the field of sports leisure that vary according to the changes in the modern society. To achieve this, we focus on training professional sports leisure instructors and improve their knowledge and practical skills that are essential for such instructors by requiring our students to select one major and one minor during the 4-year program. Upon graduation, students can enter various career fields such as public official at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, local government official in charge of community sports, employee at a sports leisure company, leisure event instructor and planner, treatment recreation instructor, sports leisure instructor, and staff at a graduate school, etc.
The Department of Sports Leisure has an objective to foster rational and progressive sports leisure instructors by instilling capabilities and instruction skills that are required in various sports activities, which can then contribute to public welfare and recreation.
The Department of Sports Leisure provides a systematic and practical education program to foster its students to become professionals in the fields of social sports administration and research, instruction and media. Also, by centering on improving the instruction skills required to effectively teach sports leisure activities, we emphasize cultivating management and technical skills. To foster professionals in social sports with various skills and capabilities, students of the program receive education and training in a variety of sports courses such as swimming, tennis, golf, basketball, and table tennis, etc., and also take courses related to social sports such as recreation, sports dance and aerobic exercise, etc. as well as courses related to business management such as sports administration, recreation business theories, etc.
The Department of Sports Leisure requires its students to select one major program and one minor program in order to focus on improving the knowledge and technical skills that are necessary for sports leisure instructors. Also, an education system is in place, where senior students can directly teach their practical technical knowledge to their junior students at a practical meeting that is held once a week. Participation in the practical meetings is reflected in the practical test on graduation in order for the practical performance of the students to be shown. Meanwhile, a lecturer is invited every term to allow students to gain specialized and practical knowledge regarding the attitude and manners that sports leisure instructors must have.
