It is our wish to foster future professional arts and culture elites who will display their ingenuity and creativeness through our education on comprehensive, yet in-depth theories and formative experiments. And by harmonizing traditions and contemporaries we continuously search for new techniques and theories that still carry traditional values. Upon graduation, students will have a wide range of professional job opportunities from arts instructor, curator, graphic designer in broadcasting companies or media, stage designer, and producing-team member in film or animation industries.

Education Programs

First and second year students take comprehensive introductory courses on Eastern and Western arts in order to equip them with comprehensive knowledge of art and artistic expression techniques. In their third and fourth years, students are encouraged to conduct various experiments and researches based on the accumulated knowledge of art and their ingenuity. Through these steps, students become enabled to cultivate critical acumen and to enhance their ingenuity along with theoretical and practical professional knowledge on art and formative skills. In Korean painting major, our curriculum is to seek for solution by which Korean painting is globally acknowledged based on the values of 法古創新 (beop-go-chang-shin), connoting liberal articulation through harmonization of traditions and contemporaries. In Western painting major, student are encouraged not only to understand the spirit and diplay of Western art and characteristics of modern art but also to manifest their ingenious skills and techniques through their work.

Cultural imagination and creativity are becoming more and more significant core in national development. Therefore, with the ever-rising importance of fine arts majors creative ingenuity, it is our wish to cultivate creative professional models in the field. Our graduates proceed to painter, art instructor, managing private institutes, planning division in publication, art gallery curator, graphic designer in broadcasting companies and media, film, animation, and stage art and design.
